As an institution that encourages students’ growth and excellence in the field of modern technology.LearnWare is hosting an island-wide + international online coding contest for young minds from age 08 - 16 yrs. This contest is to bring out the best of our young generation and to award them for their brilliance in CODING.
This online coding contest has been divided into two age groups. Students who are 8 - 12yrs will contest for Junior Code Star and 13 - 16yrs old students shall contest for Senior Code Star. The top three of each group shall be awarded with medals and exciting cash prices.
Students get an opportunity to explore the exciting world of Coding through the groming and doubt-solving sessions to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication the four C’s of the 21st-Century Skills!
Children are expected to participate independently and each participant is limited to submitting only one project.
Your project should be coded using either Scratch 3.0 or Python, as per your age group.
Participants are allowed to develop either a Simulator or an App for the real-world problem.
The participant is required to create a 2-minute recording that explains the functionality and operation of the project.
External hardware integration is prohibited, and all projects must be 100% software-based.
Participant who are selected for the top 10 are expected to do an online presentation for the judges.
This a group for students between the ages of 13 - 16yrs, and especially for those who know how to program in Python. Python is one of the high demanding programming languages in this era, and it can be coded for many platforms. Hence, we expect our students to program simple and innovative applications or a game, that represents their project scenario. The students are allowed to use Tkinter (for GUI) and Turtle libraries to develop their solutions.
This a group for students in the ages of 8 - 12yrs, and especially for those who know how to code in Scratch. Scratch is a high-level block-based visual programming language for kids to code and develop interactive applications. Hence, we expect our students to program a simple and innovative game or an application, which represents their project scenario. The students are welcome to innovate their own sprite, and backdrops to support their own projects.
